The article published in September 2020 by doi.org, reports the unique features of polydopamine for preparing high-performance flame retardant polymeric materials. The PDA is highly efficient and non-toxic flame retardant and is capable of manufacturing fire-safe polymeric materials including sponge, foam, fabric, film, and polymer matric composite.
