One of the key exporters of grassfed sheep Oceania, exporting nearly 30% of sheep imports of Europe. Oceania accounts to nearly 70% of the global lamb exports in which share of New Zealand is nearly 44% of the trade.

Grassfed jerky brands often label the grassfed meat with properties like Non-GMO, organic and grassfed and certification approvals like kosher and halal that attracts more consumer and affects their willingness to pay a premium price. Labeled grassfed jerky demand has a significant portion of 1/4th in the U.S.
Over last decade halal grassfed meat has emerged out as a significant market, especially in Middle East region. Companies and ranches are now labeling their meat with halal certification to enter in the Middle East market. In 2019, overall halal meat and poultry demand was nearly 4X of the general grassfed beef category. These statistics also stand similar for grassfed jerky, although they are consumed less in the region.
